I've never figured out what the Loadout option is for? Is there a way to save Loadouts for vehicles? Is there a secret button!?

Wow, I never knew you could type something there to replace "Default" I thought it was only a drop down menu.

I know this but never used it, because there are just too many combinations to configure your tank.

    Does anybody use this?

Mainly for escort and std builds are really the only thing you can use it for. And vehicle training I guess.

I usually have some presets for common research (like DU APC's at the moment)

I tried making loadouts based on armor and engine research paths (as I perceived most commanders getting armor/engine/weapons from the same tree), but it failed horribly.

    Haven't tried it again since.

I tried it once and it didn't work out that well. Never really used it since.

its not like 95% of vehicle loadouts wouldnt be the same anyway - most armors can have the same plate distribution ...

what should change (or actually idk if it that didnt change anyway, im just so used to the "old" way) is that newly dropped stuff (weapons, armor, engine) should overwrite the old ones, rather than you manually have to remove them ^^

I have, but I haven't done it for 2.25 yet. The main time when its nice is when your barracks goes down and you need to get an APC out quickly. Its much quicker to have several generic presets already setup rather then having to try to go through the vehicle creation menu while under attack.

The vehicle menu GUI needs work to make presets more available. Also, shared presets would be awesome (Commander has some presets set up already that everyone else in the server has, or something).

with a new gui you might not need presets. if all is accessible on one page, checkboxes for everything, plus a "autodistribute armor" function, you should be able to have your tank setup in no time or at least the same time youd need to select a preset :D

I don't like presets for 1 reason, in the com factory preset dropdown menu there's always the oldest preset shown first instead of the newest, and if i lost the next rax to the vf and want to build a customized apc I need first to move through the presets ... while the vf is dying ... alternatively you get a plain apc which would die to fast ...
else I use them for artillery, district and vehicle training, would use them for glycencity but that map is sadly not that common and even if, it's not really neccesary :(

    preset are awsome,
you just need to have armor preset instead of weapon presets cuz weapon change every game and armor is only +/- 1 or 2 per type
the most time consuming process to building a tank is loading armor 1 plate at a time

How about we make armor the 3rd rider in the list and make it auto accustomate to your current tankweight with the max armor possible for the selected kind of armor? So you only would need small adjustments ...
