    I don't know why, but when everyone wouldn't really talk about the true heroes and the lich king dying I could only think it was some strange comical accident that made it happen, like something in a discworld novel. Thanks for the image and laugh, can't wait to get started.

    The story goes that there was a huge battle and at its end the Lich King was already dead, the simpletons just assumed that he was either made up or died during the fight. This was not the case though ;)

    White Rabbit references are pointing first and foremost to Alice in wonderland, Matrix made an Alice reference.
    I think Alice references are fine, LotR references suck though.

    Sup scrubs,

    I've played 3.5 for 11 years now, and I've DM'd most of it. I have my own settings and stuff already too (they have names and everything, and have been played before).

    I hated 4th edition, and stayed away from it, but have not looked at 5th, probably is inferior to 3.5 in every way. Pathfinder is not bad, and as a DM I can do pathfinder (I'd just need to get PDFs of those books) or 3.5, but I prefer 3.5.

    I also keep a google drive share folder with my stuff in it, really streamlines availability to materials and homebrew lore.

    I'd be up to join your guys' stuff but I don't have a mic or a webcam, just glitchy iOS teamspeak and skype. I'd also have to look at 5th edition and not hate it.

    Well, there's a link to the basic rules up on the first page, you can look at that. Also keep in mind that it seems that you dwarf everyone else with your experience (esp. me!), so the experience might be a little like you showing up to an Empires match filled with newbs.

    5th Edition doesn't seem terrible. Granted I don't have the source books, but the basic rules seem to have taken out a bunch of the more clunky mechanics and pared it down to roleplay. It does seem a bit more like 2nd Edition now, or more like 2nd Edition with a ruleset that is comprehensive. And without Thac0. Goddamn Thac0.

    It's triple D's first foray though, and for that it definitely looks good.
