I already have a vanu guy so I voted for Terran Republic. Too bad it ain't matherson, starting from scratch kinda sucks. Haven't played in like 6 months either but it would be lots of fun with you guys.
I only play on Cobalt and only on TR, too much grinding to get all the stuff I want. The initiative is cool though, if this was to be more than a single game together at best I'd consider coming in too. Also inb4 "canceled cuz u dun spam thread lel"
There isn't anything to "cancel" the game organizes shit for you already. Get in a squad with your emp butt buddies and there you go, it's "organized".
I'll admit that it's much less of a hassle than the squad league idea, but organizing is not just putting people in a group next to each other in game, it's scheduling, making sure everyone makes it, background stuff like how to communicate, a battle /map plan etc. Also, fresh characters are going to miss out on squad leader buffs, personal passives and attachments. It might impact the fun factor, so I suggest that at least the squad lead have some stuff unlocked.
I'm up for it. I've got a Vanu char on Matherson (US) and a Terran on some random EU server. Wouldn't mind making a new character, though. Never got far with those I have because I had no one to play with and the game was unplayable before the latest optimisation patch.
I think VS on Matherson is definitely the way to go. It looks like a lot of us already have characters there. Squads need some essential certs to be effective in PS2. With playing only new characters we're going to have a large handicap.
Tried playing this last night after not touching it for awhile. It really is optimized by quite a bit, my fps stays at around 55-60 on normal battles where it used to always be 40ish. Half that in really large battle. Games is definitely more fun with a coordinated squad/platoon. goofed around at first by myself and it was pretty boring . Also why does everyone have a lock-on missle? I'm up in the sky and 10 seconds later someones locked on and stays locked on no mater where I fly. Or rather no matter how high I go. hugging the ground still works. On that note can we switch to mattherson VS? I'm a baby and don't want to lose my scythe, even if I'm a crap pilot. I mean it sounds like we do have 3-4 people with characters on there already, which would be pretty helpful.
Once people get AA missile with HA or Skygaurd that's all they play. I haven't touched ESF in ages because of that.
