Spam? UT is a great game, but it's just not as commonly in people's collection as HL2, so HL2 mods generally get more excitement, since every man and his dogs tank on slaughtered [that's multiple tanks per person] has source.
Uhm correct me but isnt killing floor stand alone now? and Im maybee wrong but I thought I saw UT 2004 on steam for free!?!?
Its not stand alone but with 2.5 you no longer need the free bonus pack installed to play it which is more conveneant :D And killing floor is the fastest pased games i have played. Holding off hunderads of differant types of zombies per wave. well imo the game is averagely fast its no q3 or painkiller but also not as slow as rainbow six 3. the atmosphere is quite epic for the first ~40 games, the feeling of being together with a bunch of ppl on unknown terrain is extremely superb, first time you weld a door and hear the zombs bangin on it its almost like you can feel em. after you get used to the maps the imo main point of the game gets obvious: relaxational slaughter. split up - cover the spawns - get your favourite axe out and bath in blood and intestines. the simple game kept me interested for almost an year while emp had me hooked for like 3 months. aaaaaaand my favourite point: the kf community isnt full of assholes/jerks/mindless noobs/dumb suggestions/..../..../... i could go on forever and ever
I don't care how good of a zombie game people may think it is, zombies get old fast when they are being shoved down your throat. Besides, I fill my zombie killing quota when I play Half-Life. No, that wasn't spam. He asked a question, I gave an honest answer.
