That only happens in the current version of Empires because it has Lost Coast water. Regardless of which version of the map it is, that's fixed in the next patch, but broken in the current one.
Everytime I play a team has 2 refs and enough res for every team member to have a fully decked tank, shits dumb fix it now
I think thats just on Vipers because of the res boost. I do find it funny. there is almost NEVER a shortage of res, but a strange lack of tanks.
This res boost business was brought to my attention and I checked my server.cfg file and I have emp_sv_refinery_multiplier 1 There is no res boost on VIPER, why you guys say thigns without facts to back it up is beyond me.
Money was never meant to be a low-res-map. Everything is fine. Keep moving! Nothing of interest in here!
well.. yesterday an admin gave both teams like 500 res at start for the lulz maybee that happens alot
hmm I didn't do that and not sure if or why craig did, but it happens rarely. For me I never do that unless the players ask because they are not playng a serious game just tesitng or goofing around on the server, but as a rule I do not raise the res on a map. That value is always set to 1 in our server.cfg
Yeah. All the resources we have now is kind of my fault. I got the player multiplier fixed so it actually scaled properly, but it sort of increased the res fairly substantially. Before, each level of player multiplier meant +1 to each ref. But this meant on maps like Mvalley, where dam is 4 and each north ref is 2 (so it equals at 4 each), you'd end up with + 1 to both north refs and +1 to dam, so you'd get 6 at north and 5 at dam, and then 8 at north and 6 at dam, etc. Now it goes via the original value, so you get 4 8 12 at dam, and 2 4 6 for each north ref. It makes more sense but it has increased the resources quite a bit.
I have tried using that command in testpires with 10 instead of 1 but, it doesn't seem to have any effect. Possibly due to only have one person?
and it has to scale up by 2? couldnt it be 1.2 f.e? of if thats low 1.6 or whatever ... also dont ignore wages. if players average at 20pts its 25600 res with 64players.
