How many people are still active in the forums? How many people actually still play the game? And also, hi! I remembered this mod existed again. I seem to do so every two years or so. Someone fill me in in what's happened over the last two years. Is MOOTant gone? Beerdude is lead developer now? Is the game as awesome as ever? Does that single street map still devolve into who can throw the most grenades in 5 minutes?
around 20 since the new version around 20-30 during the week on afternoons, not neccessarily the same guys as on the forums. the year before that it was zero unless there where pugs. on the last two weekends there happend to be full servers aswell. hi, darg, always good to see old guys coming back. not gone but not dev anymore either - trickster is now leaddev (?), candles is lead programmer. the most positive change probably is that devs are a lot more open to community content and input now in comparison to m00t times ... game stayed basically the same as it was 2 years ago. balance is a bit different, not the huge throw either though (personal opinion). tanks got a whole lot weaker then 2.24d but you can still drive circles around the enemies rax in a heavy. yes district402 is still the same shit as it was before
We still have McGyver on the forums. There's enough people to have a few decent-sized roundsjust not 24/7, you gotta hit the usual hightime. MOOTant is around, but not actively developing anymore. Trickster is the go-to guy now, Candles is the hero that Empires needed, but still doesn't deserve, Beerdude still doing lots of dev stuff, game is still awesome, district still a spamfest on medium and higher popluations.
Well atleast the people on the forums are active posters Didn't expect such a quick response from you guys, good to see. I have been roped into modelling a sticky grenade apparently. And I hope to see you guys in game over the weekend. So when are we porting this thing to Unreal 4?
Nice to see you again, Darg. Still tag the name with Drag, but ah well... Game is kinda better now. We have some new features like deconning vehicle husks and...uhm, yeah that's it. Still, everything seems to work a little smoother than it did, now we just have to sort out the sources of abuse, I guess.
I always confused the two names in the past. After all these years I find it difficult to match my memories with the correct person. Ah well, new memories will replace the old ones quickly anyway
Hah I remember the issues with drag. He is/was a dev wasn't he? Not sure if I ever played on the same team as him, that would have been confusing I'm the guy who half modelled a water tower then gave up.
