Is anime banned?

getting instantly locked despite not breaking any form of rule etc and only including a single picture showing this seasons releases, does this mean that all form of anime related topics are banned from the forum now or some stupid shit like that?

It's semi-serious discussion about anime. Anime is as valid an artform as all other media, and it's only "sexually intercoursing retarded" in your not-so-humble opinion. The hate towards anime is bordering on admin abuse at this point. There are plenty of ridiculously bad anime threads, but lots of the off-topic threads are also nowhere near "semi-serious" either. Is the thread in question here any less valid than talk of some new video game, or the prevalence of shooting ranges in a country, or getting new hardware or a faking-human chat-bot? None of those threads are locked because they aren't serious enough.

Why? This is a forums for a HL2-mod. If there are people that want to talk about anime, they can register on any of the zillion forums dedicated to anime. I personally don't mind there being thread(s) about anime (excluding the obvious NSFW shit), but there is no reason for an anime section.

 

I'll say it again I'm fine with anime threads when you behave like human beings in them and actually discuss something other than "kawaii" or post anime puss in it.

However I've yet to see that in any of the anime lovers, with the exclusion of predom & cloud who both seem to be able to act maturely.

 

I agree that there's no reason for an entire section about it, but your reasoning is somewhat flawed.

If they went to an anime site they would merely get a crap ton of opinions they already have. it would be redundant.

When they come here at least they get a myriad of opinions on the subject (i use myriad loosely because most of us here follow the we don't talk about anime rule).

Point is they come to places like here to get opinions that they wouldn't get on an anime forum.
