While I don't know if it's possible, having the collision system be set serverside would actually be really really awesome. It never even occurred to me but it's a great idea.

until people get confused why some maps let you pass through people and others don't. those poor new players...
I still have problems with those maps... Are the NUBS servers also run from here ? Is there a way to contact them to get them to use that server trick of feeding bigger maps to clients...
Don't really understand the problem your having. I assume your having issues downloading maps and if so is there some kind of error message being displayed or printed to your console?
Since most can download maps and just a few have a problem doing so, it seems to me its a local issue on their end. If it was a server issue no one would be able to download them.
well, "i'm having a problem" can be anything and is among the worst possible descriptions of a problem there are one can only guess whats wrong on whose end and noone will ever know unless more detailed information is given.
