IMPORTANT (Read me): Shaking up the testing group

As can be seen here (now up to date) we have 200 testers. Obviously most of these people aren't testing / at all active.


There will likely be several stages to this, for now though, you need to do 2 things to maintain tester access:

1. Post in this thread with your steam friends name (If its different from your forum name (clan tags can be ignored)). I will add your steamfriends name to the list of testers thread. It is your responsibility to ensure that the name in that thread is always up to date (I will not be wasting time trying to track down players that have changed their name who havnt got in contact with me)

2. You must be a member of this steamgroup. I am aware that some people can not join that group. If that is the case then please post that you can not join it.


You have until 31st March at 23:59 GMT to reply to this thread

After this time inactive testers will be removed*. Do not announce this thread outside this forum section. There are likely to be some additional requirements on testing in future but they will be announced nearer the time.


* I will be checking the server logs in conjunction with this thread, I will attempt not to remove active testers even if they have not replied but I'm not making any promises.

It might be worth not actually telling people about this thread, that way only active testers see it. But it's really up to Wealthysoup.

 

Yeah thats a good idea, its not like 1 month isnt long enough for pretty much anyone that comes to the forums to see it

 

How many threads do I have to write in to be a tester?
Also, I do participate in most tests now, when it's become a hell lot easier to go from Emp->beta->Emp.

That way only active forum members that spend too much time (me included) here, see it?

Work is too hectic for me to commit to much for the next 3 weeks though, 50/50 chance on any given time of any given day at the momemnt so feel free to remove me and I'll reapply when I know I have time.

Hopefully this will be the last one for awhile. Once the groups tidied up it should be easier to maintain.

Thats fine, real life takes priority, (as long as I know obviously). I'll mention in notes that your not free until 24/3 (if its different than that let me know)

Might i suggest not being too strict either
Cause even people that turn up only 1 out of 5 times, turn up one out of five times. If you remove them, that's less players that will be playtesting, even if only slightly less.

Yeah, about that, currently not actively testing until I get my PC running in a stable way again, but with all this closed/opened/closed/opened now again closed tester access I can't help myself but ask why you even bother sorting out the testers group (as soon as a update is soonish release there will be everyone joining for that precious testscrim anyway which is not even a test at all) ...

I don't want to mislead anyone. I'll be a warm body in the occasional beta pug, but I won't be able to spend hours reproing bugs. If my contribution is acceptable, then I'd like to remain a "tester."
