Empires has been getting quite a bit of publicity since the release of 2.2. The boys over at Podcast 17 featured 2.2 on this weeks podcast. The Moddb Modcast also featured a segment on Empires, starting about 13 minutes in. Also, 2.21 is around the corner, with a few confirmed fixes so far, including the Ammo boxes in the Brenodi Armory being moved to the center of the building, You can now revive players who killed themselves (but you will not be given a point). We are also taking a look into the balance of the weapons, with unconfirmed reports of the assault weapons getting a slight boost in Rate-of-Fire, as well some falloff increases for the scout rifle. In other news, Smashball has released their first public beta. If you haven't checked it out yet, you should. It's a fast-paced, E-sport styled game, set in the distant future. The game revolves around the Smashball, a small ball that each team must throw into a designated goal. It's a thrilling, fast paced action game, and a ton of fun to be had. Check it out.
Doesn't matter, the 50 cal can fire as fast as you can click, though some people can't due to lag, therefore, a limiter on the RoF
No, because then people could cheat with it. I'm not saying that they will, but if it's client sided it'll be moddable.
Can you rev people who used the "KILL" too? If yes than that will b quite annoying if you want to suicide spawn or sth
Gaming fact/guideline #58: If you have to read the whole bloody manual BEFORE playing to get what's going on, then you're doing it wrong. Exception: Tips and tricks that are not central to the game and can be played without them, which can appear in other areas such as the loading screens. Point to me one game outside Empires that requires you to read a manual first. And is good.
All those pesky Turnbased strategy games? Those are quite fun.. Err.. And some other games I can't think of. You know, those games .
^actually that makes you read 2 manuals before you can start. one to learn how to play the game, and second to figure out how to read the first one.
