how u get on roof >.<

    I've gotten multiple complaints from people saying that players are able to get on the roofs of the buildings in my map (the map is the one named in my sig). I thought I fixed this, but I haven't been able to get a good playtest to verify.

    Can anyone post a screenshot of themselves being on one of the roofs in beta 8? I'm talking about the tall buildings, not the little garages. I really don't understand how people are getting through the player clip, and frankly, if you are, you have the uncanny ability to bend space time, and may want to consider using your vast superpowers to do something other than play an aging mod.

    I suppose I could put kill triggers up there, but I'm not gonna bother to do that until someone can prove to me that they can get up there.

    if the player clip is not thick enough sitting on top of walls and building them to be pushed trough the clipper could be used

    You could ask Crackbone to get on the roofs in the map.

    but yeah, i've seen some waltz around on the buildings using turrets, but that was a while ago so i don't know if it's still possible.

    You can turretwalk around playerclips, you can glitch-push through playerclips,
    you can "teleport" through playerclips with a high ping.

    Are you sure you mess up somehow with the player clip? I just tested, and I could go onto the cliffs and onto the buildings.

    Just put a giant clip brush at roof level across the entire map. Much easier than trying to clip each building.

    I don't know about mapping so... [stupid]
    When you build turrets, it pushes you. It might be a /thickness/ problem, or whatever.

    What if you put a killbrush up there, so it just kills anyone too high up?

    just put a large blanket player clip across the highest point you want players to go. Players hsouldn't be there and it doesn't effect tanks.

    AFAIK, the commander is limited by the skybox. Sometimes he clips out of it, but when he does he is pretty high up, so you shouldn't have to worry about it.

    I wouldn't use a kill clip, just a player clip around 1024 units thick.

    FYI, the regular player clips don't actually block vehicle movement. We've had games on SoF where we put a VF behind the NF base, and we were able to spawn APC's and spawn in the apc and drive round, but once we got out we were stuck. anyhow, i think simply doing some sort of blanket clip brush will solve this, as infantry really shouldn't be getting up too high anyhow on the map.
