I bet they hire gamers to fight for them using those robots, but then you'd have people that love friendly fire :p
the US army is getting there probably. Trojan armor made by some crazy Canadian is the most effective and protective non-plate armor ever created. it also doubles as an eco-skeleton. the US army refuses to admit that their standard armor is crap compared to it.
*insert condom joke here* I thought that had a different name, like dragonskin or something? I don't feel like looking it up.
hah, Dragon Skin is banned altogether. it passes all tests better than the US standard armor, but they don't want to admit it. some soldiers bought their own and the US confiscated it. tests on dragon skin show that people could auctually survive lying on a grenade i think.
I just wish they had adopted the XM8. The M16 in any incarnation is too damn old, and the M4 is basically a revampted M16.
wth .. gotta find out why I posted here .. maybe wrong page .. hmm. ... Obviously wrong page .. hm .. nevermind.
nothing M16 was crap 50years ago and still is.... hell even our old Sa.58 works better and same with any AK variant shame they scraped HK 11 project that would be great gun
While it does look sexy, anything from cost to weight to experience to stubbornness of Army officers can throw even the best gun off. The XM29 OICW was proven to be 500% more effective than current day small arms, but it was so heavy (10 kilograms when loaded) and expensive that it wasn't worth it.
