No, but you clearly got fooled into wasting time explaining something that the other party knew already. I mean, cmon, Teeth may have a hole here and there, but he's not a raving lunatic.

 

Considering the amount of time I've wasted on this forum, it doesn't hurt if I waste a little more on a post

Trolling is intentionally posting something inflammatory to misdirect a thread for the fun of taking attention away from something or someone you think is being an ass. OK last part is my addition to trolling.

Context is important. This was spoken by Polonius (one of the stupidest characters ever) to Claudius, right before Polonius began a lengthy and witless tirade about how Hamlet was insane. So yes, Shakespeare used this line ironically.

This is akin to quoting the first 12 lines of Sonnet 130, and leaving out the last two. Context is everything. Frankly, Candles, I am still disappointed.

We're 10 pages in and I still do not understand what this thread is about.

 

This is the most untrollable thread ever, because it's literally about nothing in particular!

 

And now we can tell you weren't actually trying to troll but were really trying to act like an annoying smart-ass, who later said he was simply "trolling", because you seem to know so much about one of the worst playwrights in human history.

 

I'm not sure how to respond to this. Frankly, I am offended.

You can at least explain why you think Shakespeare is the worst playwright in history. He isn't the best, but is he the worst? Certainly not.

 

Despite the quote being taken out of context, (and yes, I do know the context,) it makes a valid point on it's own. Trolling by typing out two paragraphs is far less witty than trolling by posting single sentences.
