help with minimap?

can anyone help me with my minimap? i made it accourding to this site 5 times over and over

but now i get a map in purple black checkerboards (missing texture) and cant select a spaun location (while there is one)

can anyone yust make me a minimap? il give the required data in a pm if anyone wants to help me

can you let me know if you sort this cos i basically wrote half that tutorial and need to know if i have got it wrong anywhere ?
