I've manage to get a server up and running and even managed to connect to it as a client but my server isn't showing up in the server list. i had to type it in the console manually to connect to it.. any ideas?

If the server runs on your homepc it will appear in the LAN tab, not in the servers tab.

Make sure NAT translation forwards incoming connections to [IP] 27015 (or whatever the ports are for your private server) if behind a router.

Sometimes it just happens, I'm behind two routers and sometimes I get a public server and sometimes it stays private. Ah, the logic of a cheap router
