no. MBT is the title given to a skirmish loadout be/nf heavy tank.

MBT was suggested on the first page (I don't blame you if you didn't read the whole thread) and so was Field Tank.

Imperial Tank should definately be in there for BE though. I mean in the research. If there's something I really think needs doing environmentally for Empires it's naming every weapon and tank. It's pretty much a travesty that it's gone on this long without getting names for even things such as smg2.

I mean BEAR, NF HR, I can kinda live with that. But SMG2? WTF guys.

Why not? Names for Bundeswehr weapons are:
    • Pistol: P8
    • Gun #1: G3
    • Gun #2: G36
    • Machinegun #1 : MG3
    • Machinegun #2 : MG4

Could go on with less common infantry weapons such as the flare pistol or grenades... but in fact, military weapon naming is nothing about sounding nice.

I don't mind if you name them mp5 and ump45. SMG1 and SMG2 just smack of unfinished, and it shows.

    Then let me explain,
"mp" and "ump" are german abbreviations
and translates as smg and universal smg (prolly usmg, if such a name existed)
the numbers are just the model series
all weapons from H&K are named that way (german abbreviation+model number thus P9,G3*,G36,MP5,UMP45 a.s.o.)
that said giving them random numbers or some other sort of order would already make the names sound more appealing,
something along smg34 or smg57 maybe
    *fixed

I know, mp=machine pistole, I know that. I still prefer my "Desert Eagle"s to my mp5's. Tbh.

So mediums can no longer use the salvo homing? I guess I can live with that. At least regular homing you can still use for mediums.

Well depens on taste, but desert eagle really is a bad ass name, wasn't my point, it's just that you're not used to the name "SMG" but "MP" thats why smg sounds unfinished,
it would sound better with a random number,
but ofc even better with random names, problem might be that someone has to think of names which don't sound weird nor uncool (if i may say so) but neither too flashy,
maybe we could even add an imaginary weapon producer name infront of it
f.e. Bren&Brothers Eliminator for pistol 2 in short either B&B - Eliminator, or B&B P2 or just Eliminator
well ... you get the idea ^^
