Are the headshot hitboxes like only the top of the head? I just spend like 10 minutes just trying to get headshots, and I can only reliably get headshots if I aim at the complete top of their head instead of the middle of their faces
That is true. Great Brenodi engineers using the nanomachines made subdermal armour on every soldiers face, and Jekotians secretly moved all the head's organs under the helmet (the face is just a mask). And kinda forgot about that their helmets are shit. Happens
I don't aim and get head shots all the time. Blind luck is the best. Or maybe the hit box for the head keeps moving around?
also note that I was in the bot test server trying to get headshots so they were basicly standingstill/running in a straight line
also both factions forgot that this helmet design is bad and should be replaced with the prototype mII i hope they don't have leaders as stubborn as Hitler (if they only replaced the
Dunno if this will make a difference, or if any of those work, or if these are even good settings (some of them are good for csgo) But try putting this into autoexec and to be sure, "exec autoexec" also after you join the server (empires LOVES to override things from autoexec) Code: rate "128000" cl_cmdrate "128" cl_updaterate "128" cl_interp "0" cl_interp_ratio "1" cl_lagcompensation "1" cl_pred_optimize 2 cl_smooth 1 cl_smoothtime 0.01 Just try if that makes a difference. Atleast when enemies are moving. //I understand that most of the rates are enforced to specific values. And yeah, this is about the position of hitbox. So this might be completely unrelated. hmm, this makes me wanna do a "share your autoexec" thread. ( oh I use cl_smooth 1 ? I wonder why I put that for empires, lol There must be a reason I dont remember for empires )
Really? Chances are you are hitting the hand that's holding the front end of the weapon, I noticed this when I was testing weapons with Lazybum. Weeks ago I also played in bot server and I was able to get like 30 subsequent headshot kills with SMG1. I've tried going for headshot-only-kills on district and I was able to get like, I lost track, but like 10 subsequent headshot kills. Because it's Empires, I am not denying that there might a bug, but I am fairly sure if you hit people in the face, it's headshot for you.
Well the bots there seem generally quite laggy. Would need to test that in 2+ people on normal server.
Like when I joined the server initially I wanted to check out how much shots it took with most guns to kill a unit, and how much with a headshot. To my dismay when it came to the headshot part and I was only like semi trying to headshot, I LANDED ALMOST NO HEADSHOTS. So I got really pissy about it and tried really hard, like middle of the nose shoot and only hit about 30-50 percent headshots. So then I was thinking, if Im aiming at the face and I cant hit headshots, let me aim higher and see if I get more. So I aimed at the units topside of the helmet, like if you would see me aim you would think I was overshooting, but doing that made me get 90 percent headshots. This was with the nf50 cal and nfar. Maybe the sights are calibrated really badly? Ah yeah, I was zoomed in with sights
hmm...now that I saw those pictures with barbed wires, I have noticed that the height of a model looking at third person, seems different than looking from first person? Or is it just me? First person has the head quite higher? Not saying it matters for hitbox where the first person cam is placed, but it might indicate some differences. Maybe para wants to test this with me on a server? I will enable show hitboxes if that works in empires. Hit me on steam if you ready.
It's already known that your view is on the top of your head, not your eyes. (this is why there's that "shooting behind box" exploit.)
