Actually that's what I said when I made this thread.. They have found all kinds of evidence pointed towards that.
I doubt it, their engine still has life in it. Red Dead Redemption looks awesome, It looks even better in motion (Well at least a hell of a lot better than GTA IV).

To big to take risks... why not the 60 or 70ties or even the 20ties and the location is also so normal. I want my 19th century madrid gta or something like that :/
The only problem is, there wouldn't be any CARS in Grand Theft Auto Madrid 1850. I loved GTA IV and will get GTA V no matter where it takes place, but L.A. again is a little boooring.
There is actually a lot going on rite now in California.. They have so much topical humor they can use and have it be funny or understood, if you go so many generations back you will have jokes that aren't understood. I heard it takes place in 2012 so it will be using the end of the world satire a long with the riots and protests and real estate market crash and economy melt down. When has GTA ever made the wrong decision?
