Politics and political problems are too complicated to be explained in these forums. Especially weird mixed problems of socialistic country like France vs culture conflicts.

i think it kinda sucks that germany is loosing ethnic germans and mostly poor people imigrate....

hmm well that is a complex problem and we have simelar stuff in Denmark as we only have about 5,6 million people and about 500000 of them are imegrants.

with that few people it doesnt take a whole lot to really create problems.

 

REX, it won't create problems now, but if you think realistically, Danes will be a minority in their own country in mere decades. Look at the immigration rates.

 

On a different note, with some luck Belgium will not exist for long anymore. For several years already there's a huge gap between the south and the north, and we've been without a government for several months now (the guy who forms the new goverment after an election isn't able to come up with something that everyone agrees on). We've never been as close to the end of belgium as we are now. With some like the northern part will join the netherlands in the end, that would be awesome.

About germany ... i hate their goverment. I always loved the people and the land itself, but the government is just ... insane. They have even more stupid laws than we have in belgium. It's even hard to find decent videogames there, since they don't approve of violence in games.

So ... let's ALL join the netherlands

I mean we have so many responsebilitys after wwII and we are so focused on our new values after wwII and preventing anything like that...

 

Why is it necessary for Germany to reverse all it's values after losing a war? Does the fact that Hitler started wars and committed genocide mean that EVERY policy in Germany before the end of the war was somehow evil? Germans need to restore their honour and manage their country with realistic measures.

Anyways... I'm leaving Europe as soon as I can. I too feel there's no future for me here and I want to emigrate to Canada after I get my degree.

This has, though, nothing to do with the huge amounts of refugees that come to the Netherlands. It does have to do with the increasing amounts of intolerate people and growing acceptance of neo nazis.

I work with some immigrants and they do just as well as anybody else

 

I know the statistics are open to the public on a handy website we have here in Denmark with statisticks on all interresting aspects of the nation.

I know many imegrants that are nice.... but their behavior often scare me and suddenly creep me out.

Like at school a guy that have always seemed somewhat rational went totally crazy and left when we discussed islam and something about there only being like 7 planets in the universe acording to their book.... and he just went NOOOO it was given to us by ANGELS !!!!!1111!1!!!!

and on another day a drunk guy shouts something at one of them and he starts their phone chain and like 15min later theres 20+ guys ready to fuck up one drunk guy.

and on the day of a town festival more than 100 from another town suddenly com out of the train station and surgre towards the town center and starts to fight with everyone and trash every single store window and later took on the police.

.... also an egyptian guy named Valid from a paralel class always had a nasty folding knife and he would always somehow end up telling me how well it could cut me open.

Earlier this year I figured out that a girl and her boyfriend that was later shot by her cousin in the next town had passed me fleeing from the people trying to kill her, at the railway station. I really dont get those so called honour killings.

also the neighborhood next to my old school only had like 3 Danish families out of 5 giant blocks. One day I took the bus and it was full.... everyone even the driver was an imegrant and they where all talking foreign languages. I didnt really care much about that but it just felt strangely unfamiliar like when you are on a vacation.

The article does take a critical stance on multi-culturalism. But culture has nothing to do with race. Race has proven to be an insignificant factor in the behavior of a human. Instead, culture influences personality and identity the most of all things. We must also realize that cultures are certainly unequal in their teachings, in terms of civilisedness and ability to adopt and respect other cultures (European/western culture in this case). For anyone who denies this; it's time to pull your head out of the clouds.

Still, as much as multi-culturalism may be a noble idea aiming to enrich the original culture of a country, it has been poorly implemented. Trying to find a reason for it's failure by accusing the native population of racism is pretty ignorant. Also, the fact that several immigrants HAVE been assimilated succesfully and are educated, doesn't mean that the problems mentioned in the article don't exist.

That's quite shocking... And that also tells one reason why multi-culturalism has failed; people stick with their own groups and don't adopt the values of their new home. Hell, if there was a WW3 in Europe and I'd immigrate to China or Russia or somewhere, with my family and friends... personally I would stick with Finnish people, because they speak the same langauge and understand my values. I'd find it really hard to follow the principle of "When in Rome". Deep inside I'd always be Finnish, not Chinese, no matter what some piece of paper might say. If I was adopted and raised by Chinese parents, only then I would truly be Chinese and understand them as they understand each other.
