Does anyone use hlrse.net/empiresvhe any more? Is it needed? I would like to know opinions on the topic of closing and ending this service.
Flounder and Scardybob used it as late as July, and Blight in June. It doesn't appear anyone else has put a file on it since 2008.
There's other services out there that are easily used, Kane has his going but it's not for public use and I've got a FTP that can be used if needed, just gotta pm me for usage
Blight, Scardybob, Flounder and quite a few other people still use it. It's been a really big help to them, so I'd ask them about it.
I like to use it as a mirror for map releases. I'd still like to use it (if its not that big of a problem for you). I'm not sure why more people don't, its easy and simple to do.
Ok, that's good enough for me to keep it around! It is no problem keeping the service as long as someone is using it.
Something's wrong with the password. I'm getting a 530 login error when using "roxrox." The ftp server is still alive though, since people's files are still downloadable. Maybe pw got reset recently. I'll pm Qwerty.
