Features: Changed Research + New research New vehicles Edited infantry combat Some other side I'm sure VEHICLE CONCEPTS: NF MG Tank: A Light tank with a Machine gun turret much like the APC, has a only a 3-slot MG slot and one less rear Armour, designed as a cheaper alternative to the Light tank that's unlocked from the start. NF Tank-APC: Another early game vehicle, with 5 seats and a light tank turret capable of holding a cannon, 1 slot MG, and 1 slot GL. You can also spawn on it. It has less heat capacity and less armour as a result of these changes. NF Med-Heavy: A stop-gap between medium and heavy tank, this tank can mount a 3-slot cannon and 2-slot MG, at the cost of no missile launcher, has medium tank mobility and Armour that sits right between medium and heavy tanks, at the cost of severely reduced heat capacity and weight. Requires its own research after the medium tank. - maybe turn it into more of a tank destroyer BE Medium AFV: Another stop-gap vehicle, the Empires Medium AFV is an AFV with a lightened Medium Turret ontop, boasting a 2-slot cannon, a 1-slot MG and an extra front Armour plate this research-able early-mid game vehicle can be researched to provide better firepower while other research has to be done or lower cost vehicles are required. - maybe turn it into a nimble tank destroyer BE Tank Destroyer: The most heavily frontally Armoured vehicle in the mod, boasting 8 front armour, 3 side and 2 rear, (same total as the medium tank) this beast of an ambusher has a 3-slot cannon and an entire weapon dedicated to its role (see below). At the cost of its mobility and heat capacity over the artillery tank its based on. It can be researched in Advanced Chassis like the heavy tank. - change to improved artillery maybe? - plans to add more weapons, and possibly create unique weapons for each faction - unique ML for NF and unique cannon for BE Infantry combat: The infantry combat has been redone to encourage better teamwork in squads. i have reduced the max ammo for some classes, buffed resistances, and entirely changed some weapons roles. as an example the Rifleman now has the following: NF: Assault rifle - good close/med range Battle Rifle - good med/far range Marksman rifle - sniper rifle BE: Burst Rifle - 4 shot burst, good for close / med range Assault rifle - good for med / far range Marksman rifle - sniper rifle Marksman rifle is 100% the same for both teams, to make it even. - always feel like this should be the case. Each of these weapons is designed to promote a particular play-style, and as such each weapon only has a few spare magazines for it, to prevent the lone-wolfing we see so much in the current empires and make the rifleman be more of a support to his squad. These changes may not include everything changed about the weapon Shotguns: increased potential damage to a target, still working on spread somewhat Accuracy Inc perk has no effect on the shotguns accuracy anymore. Ranged SMG: decreased spread rate to allow for better burst fire at range - may have to be Nerf'd slightly Close Quarters SMG: -increased damage a little - will probably Nerf other factors to accommodate NF Heavy Carbine: made it a much more lethal short-mid range weapon, cant remember exactly what i changed at the time of editing, but changes will probably have to be further made Marksman rifle: decreased mag cap by 1 shot and buffed damage by 10 and increased time before falloff - to make it a much more lethal sniper weapon Grenades: re added some grenades changed some around buffed a few values here and there - will have to be further tested Shot Pistol: Made generally more lethal buffed accuracy increase perk Engineer Tool: buffed base health per unit by 1 to encourage more healing NF Weapons in general: Re-did most of the descriptions to add a little bit of back story and immersion. HMG: Renamed to Medium Machine Gun Increased ammo to 100 changed stamina taken per shot from: standing - 3 crouching -3 prone - 3 to: standing - 3 crouching - 2 prone - 1 NF 50 cal: Changed name to Battle Rifle Changed visual recoil to be much harsher and more jumpy NF Assault rifle: Accuracy decrease with each shot increased to reduce effectiveness at range Damage decreased to be between the BEAR and BEBR BE Heavy Rifle: Changed name from Heavy Rifle to Burst Rifle fires a 4 shot burst good at medium to short range (may Nerf to 3/2) BE Assault Rifle: Ammo capacity changed to 22 shots Damage increased to be more effective in general Fire rate decreased to be a more effective ranged rifle Increased erratic recoil patterns. PLANS: Re-introduce research cost nerf vehicles in general - cost - module cost, weight etc buff lots of vehicle weaponry buff armours to provide "soft counters" to certain kinds of weapons Nerf jeeps speed and make them more maneuverable to compensate
Just so you know, there was a guy who did something similar back in late 2008 I think, called Empires AU. He had a "riot tank" which was basically a med with an APC turret, capable of 2x2slot MG. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1034763/script files/Empires_AU_V0.26.rar It might be of some use to you anyway. Keep in mind that a lot of stuff in those scripts won't be compatible any more as it's from 8 years ago, but the base of it should still be useful. I'm not saying I necessarily think what you're doing has a purpose, but that might be useful to you anyway so have a look.

Yeah actually I should have said that. They're Mr. Weedy's scripts. I think there was a 0.27 version hotfix or someshit but I don't think I have it, or it's buried somewhere on my PC.
Okay, ww2 tank destroyers had limited up down and limited side to side. perhaps having the medium afv acting like the German Marder III would serve better?

No MG I'd say, but you need something similar and bulky for NF to have a TD. Perhaps a BE turret on an NF light? Make it like the medium turret on an NF Light and slow it down considerably? Something like this? Perhaps the BE Artillery Turret on the NF light?

I only asked because i remember that someone in the community had a giant grudge against him, just didnt know if it was more common than that.
Im not entirely sure if youre trolling with MGLT but the funny thing is with how ridiculously powerful mgs are now, it would be better than standart lt.
