Flag capture bug caught on video.

    Not exactly a game breaking bug. But I'll post it anyway. Happened on escort. The capture bar would fill and refill over and over. Thought it might be a scout hiding near flag but I checked it over and there was not. Tried to recreate it but was unable to.

    PS: Before dubee jumps in... No dubee, noone was hiding in the corner. You can see each corner in the vid. Plus the bar doesn't act that was when both factions are on the flag.

    well theslan said he was using the scout hide skill in there and i saw him on the map near the flag

    I have a theory on what happened (which should not have happened but could if the server lagged or shit itself) and have altered the code to take this into account. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

    Actually the server was running beautifully. No lag either. And when they fixed it by attempting to recap, the rest of the match went on as normal. Anyway I hope you got the bug. Like I said, not exactly game breaking.

    Same type of thing happens at the upper dam on mvalley, it's really tricky to build those ramps. Should this be a new thread?

    No, you got it wrong templar. The ramps simply have 3 times the ammount of health that the bar is designed to display. (Hence it takes three bars of building to complete.) The situation with the flag was different in that it became incapturable altogether. This is likley the onlt occurance of this happening. And is no doubt an incredibly rare bug.

    PS: The dam is at the bottom :P

    its actually more then 3 bars cause they over lap

    Well actually no... Go into hammer and set an engi construct health to anything over 200. The bar will still overlap reguardless of ammount over 200. Its weird.

    Three bars? That's not very helpful is it? And I meant upper as in elevation, as compared to the area below it.

    Nope. It tends to leave most noobs (And even some semi-experienced players) thinking its broken. Hopfully Krenzo will find a way to fix this.

    Upper elevation? I don't mean to sound critical of you, but saying the upper ramp would imply that one is below it. If you are comparing the two ramps on the map, then neither is above or below the other in either physical elevation, or the mini-map's lattitude and longitude. Not that it matters. I'm just a bit corrective. :D (It cost me that last time I corrected someone at 3am)

    Just a question but if the bar can only show 200 hp, why is there not a problem with the health of a turrent, barracks, or vehicle factory? They all have differtnt health values or is it simply map specific buildable objects like the ramps?

    Pretty sure it only corresponds to the map buildable onjects. Could be wrong. We need the "Mighty" :D Krenzo to inform of us.

    :D Ok...ok... No more corrections. Thinks for a sec... Ramp on the upper part of the dam?.... Must resist. :p

    Maximum allowed health is 255. All buildings have 200 health.

    really? so a player is like half as strong/durable (whatever) as a building?
    players normally have 100hp right?

    Buildings have a damage modifier that reduces all damage to a quarter of the original value.

    Its happened to me twice now. Both times on the BSID server, but then again that's the only server that seemed to have people at the time, so of course it would be on their server.
