Everybody knows, that the NV CV tends to get stucked on turrets. In my opinion this decides too many games. So when you look on the physbox, then it's very obvious. Physbox of the NF CV should be improved (increase the space to ground and maybe add boxes for the wheels). Or modify the physbox of the turrets: Maybe change it from a box to a pyramid like for the camera: Just for compare the BE CV:
It's funny because whilst you say it's quite simple, Ukgamer and I had to explain this to you like you were learning the alphabet for the first time.
The wheels don't need collision boxes as they're a physbox already. The BE CV probably still has those from older versions. As I've said in another thread, I already gave Drag a version of the collision box that went down to the ground (just the space inbetween, not including the wheels) and he said it fucked up the driving. The smallest gap will allow a turret to be dropped under it IIRC so I doubt a second try will work.
Why isn't it possible to place turrets under BE CV? Can you try the other way around and change the physbox that the NF CV can drive over turrets?
As said before, wheels are physically simulated by source. There's no need to give them a hitbox. You could maybe add a fat hitbox to the front which stops turrets getting under there in the first place. Or you could stop fucking boomtanking.
Every time you ask this, I want to slap you in the face. THE BE CV IS TOO FUCKING LOW TO THE GROUND. IT'S LIKE WHEN YOU TRY TO PUT A FOOTBALL UNDER A CAR. IF IT DOESN'T FIT, IT DOESN'T FUCKING FIT.
why can't the model of the CV be scaled so that it's the same size as the BE comm? asymmetrical features are dumb when they coincide stupidly with gameplay.
exactly, most assymetrical features in empires are just dumb ... the heavy difference, the AFV vs LT difference, the rax, the commanders ... all solvable with modelers ... oh wait
please test, updated physbox & scale is now the same as the be cv https://bugtracker.empiresmod.net/attachment.cgi?id=10
