Detailed Story: It all started with a young child named Cosmo Martinez. He just came from playing The Specialist Role Playing (TSRP) for years, leading the Neo-Nazi Havoc9 community. Embedded with false social etiquette, morals, and an unusually large ego, Cosmo began to play Empires mod. After a while, he was able join BSID and obtain a senior ranking in this Empires clan. Cosmo, under the alias "FN", began to transform the clan to better fit his altered reality from Havoc9. In addition, he joined the Blackholian State to satisfy his desire to roleplay. After some time has past, FN was able to cultivate a large following within BSID due to a cult of personality. Many of the leadership in BSID were not willing to concede any further to FN's demand for more power. With no managerial powers and a fluctuating activity within the leadership, FN felt it was not possible to overtake the clan. Though FN had a mix relationship with JPL and their members, it seemed like it was the only way possible to grow his influence within the community. FN and a couple of his brainwashed drones joined JPL. Many of his abandoned followers were either in disbelief (Myst), resentful (MooJuice), or too incompetent to express any thought (Lawliet). It only took a short period of time in JPL to realize that his experiment was a failure. FN was not able to deal with the mature, casual culture that has been developing in JPL for years. Many of his fellow JPL members felt uncomfortable dealing with an egotistical freak. This was quite evident during scrims vs EPIC, where FN would foolishly create elaborate strategies that would fall short of even the most pessimistic view. Though some of these ideas would be possible in stacked public games, they had no place in competitive gameplay in Empires mod. It was only a matter of time that FN needed a new place to call home. During his period in JPL, a satire Empires veteran society called High FN Society was created by WalMartGreeter. The group consists of many great players from different clans, unified by the idea of being as good as FN. Being the inspiration of the society, FN was promoted to officer and was given the privilege to invite those that met certain requirements. On the other hand, FN had different plans for the society. He believed that with enough time with some of inductees, he could develop a cult of personality around himself and convince them to leave their respective clans. In additon, FN felt it was necessary to invite as many regulars (e.g Delete) as possible to society to amplify his culture of worshiping his ego. WalMartGreeter was not pleased with this, thus he decided to kick all of those invited by FN and revoke his ability to invite people to the society. FN was not derailed from his plan at all, as he felt he could easily replicate a group created by WalMartGreeter. Thus, he created a clan called the Consortium under a similar constitution. Because many of the existing clans were too inactive to compete regularly with EPIC, FN was able to recruit individuals from BSID, JPL, EXE, RAGE, MEG, and non-clanners under the impression that the clan was solely a group of players that wanted more competitive play. With the condition that this was not a traditional clan, players began to double clan with the Consortium. The interpersonal relationship that FN was able to develop was possible with mandatory TeamSpeak3-usage, and a culture of team-stacking & following FN's orders. The last leg of his plan involved defeating EPIC in a scrim. This was the only way for FN to legitimize Consortium to the eyes of his dual-clanners. By the time Consortium was able to defeat EPIC, JPL had already begun to become more active in the community. This was a problem as FN had already been warned by many of members (e.g. Dubee, Elda) that once JPL came back, they would have to leave Consortium. It became clear after every passing day that JPL was more active, FN would lose more of his members. FN felt that the best way to deal with this was to make a deal with JPL. A proposed merger was made where FN would become a figurehead for this new clan, under the agreement that ROOR would be able to keep JPL as subgroup with its own culture and requirements. Despite FN's eagerness to make such an agreement, he was denied by all of his officers. FN noticed that his clan was falling apart due to the image of not being a legit clan. He quietly applied the long-delayed no-dual-clanning policy on some of his lesser members. FN would not apply the policy on JPL members as he was afraid he had not yet convinced all of them that Consortium would be the better option. After seeing that JPL was beginning to scrim independently, FN decided he needed to cut his losses before it got any worse. FN would give ROOR the heads-up that Consortium would be applying this policy on JPL members. FN would carefully introduce the proposal to those JPL members that were on the fence on the issue. He would butter up to some of members (e.g. Beatandgo, Corpsegrinder, Confucious) and give the illusion that he had the power to end JPL at his own will. While he was able to convince some of the JPL members to stay, those members that left would relay this information to non-Consortium affiliated JPL members. For the reward of a few individual JPL members, FN would severely hurt his relationship with JPL and his image across the community. Even to this day, FN has not applied the policy on some of the less-active JPL members (at least a half-dozen according to Steamgroup) until he is able to convince them that JPL's activeness will be short-lived. Summary: FN screwed JPL over by stealing members under false pretenses. Most of the dual-clanners would have probably not joined |.\\ if they knew in hindsight.
