F-28 with Bomb Bays?

So I was goofing off on the empty official server the other day (RC11) when I ran across an item named "Imperial F-28C" in the "Factory" menu. Attempting to build it resulted in an error:


Unfortunately I forgot to try and customize it. Not sure if it's still in RC12.

I guess the blimbs are not too far off, after all :p

Yeah, back in RC7 we were building planes that crashed the server. Krenzo didn't like that, so he disabled them by removing the aircraft scripts... or so I heard

 

They worked in RC9, (and didn't crash the server) but I haven't tried since then.

 

there was one point where it would vanish upon build, cant remember what RC though. wouldn't take any res, or leave scrap, just a puff of smoke, and briefly seeing something. just say "Build Failed" as it poofed.

 

Well dangit, why diddn't anyone invite me earlier?!?

Seriosly though, the forum search didn't return any results so I figured either nobody caught that yet or were too lazy to post about it.

 

I think they didn't want everyone building the blimbs. :D

 

haha, you could shoot out of them if your not driving too , you can see your gun too...

 

What you've done with aircraft is just the tip of airborne gameplay.
