Seriously, avoid that movie. It blows chunks bigtime. It starts off great, but as it continues there's serious flaws and just plain starts to suck. It's not worth the money to watch in theaters.
Well, the previews are great. Just the battles they show only last for 10 seconds in the movie and aren't very interesting to watch at all. The only good part is the cgi dragon, but that's about it.

Jeremy Irons actually put down a decent character. Him and the guy who played the shade wizard. The rest was very poor.
Why I don't like Erogen. Let me summerise the plot and I have NEVER read the thing. Evil is winning against good. Boy finds dragon. Good wins. THE END!!! Franky if you ever want to write a good book, don't. Write a mindless good vs evil and your rich!
I read the book, its good. 2nd book Eldest isnt worth reading. Im avoiding the movie out of how the characters dont fit how they are in the book. Every studio it seems is trying to pull a LOTR, none will make it imho.

Actually their Dragon Riders, and their only evil or good as the rider, since they are both one. except when that king got his dragon killed, he was supposed to die, but he got another dragon. The movie looks to do little justice towards the book. The books are about powers trying to control the next generation of dragon riders. You got the Empire, Some Rebel alliance, Elves, and so forth. I had a fantasy story, wasnt as mindless, since I forged a deep story behind it, havent worked on it for.... 3-4 years -=/ think I should dig that up.....
actually im most setups dragons are arogent pricks who dont care one way or the other, not good or evil just apathetic.
I'm going to actually watch it so I can judge for myself. Though, procrastination has got a hold of me. I might be too busy.
I always watch films and read the books after. It's more of a surprise to find some new facts out they don't display in movies.
I should slap you. Eldest PWNED, so did Eragon. And the 3rd one better be as good. Constantine was great. DO NOT DO THAT. The movie is nothing like the book, you wont want to read it if you see the movie.
