Empires wont run

Before I play any mod, I'm sure to have my autoexec file in place, but this mod wont run, at all, even with my autoexec. I'll explain whats going on.

My comp aint the best in the world, 1.7GHz processor, 128 MB videocard, and 768MB of ram, also, I'v have a few recent problems with steam, so the process, Steam.exe has its priority set to low. And last, but not least, here's the autoexec I'm using... letter for letter

Now, here's what happens. The game seems to load, it loads the trainstation background from HL2 (all fuzzy picture like) and then it goes back to desktop with a black screen in the upper left corner, and then, it eventually exits itself, and I cannot find the error log, or there is no error log.

Also, I cannot load the game WITHOUT my autoexec, after restarting steam, or after restarting the computer itself...

I was a big fan of NS, before they killed it (downhill from CO...) and just looking at your game, it already looks far more amazing than NS ever has. I really can't wait to play empires. Great Job, guys!

 

Do you have the full or demo version of HL2?
Try running that version fully and then try loading empires again. If this doesn't work, you could try reinstalling.
Edit: Did you install the patch, or the 1.0 then the patch?

 

oh, now I feel dumb... I checked the download page, and I only have the patch. Thanks for replying! I'll post/edit if it still dosent work.

Wait, do you need the full version of HL2 (Single Player) to play empires?

 

The official stance is you need the full version of HL2.

Empires is not supported with anything else.

Try reinstalling 1.0 then the patch.
