Done, pm limit increased to 200 and signature max image(s) size increased to 500 x 150. Also file uploads are disabled for now until I do some security hardening. Use external urls for avatars and signatures.
Yup, everything loads nearly instantly now. Let's hope the server load on the EPIC server stays low. :D I must remind everyone that we are paying a price for that speed. We are all Trickster's bitches now. Edit: also posting is fast as lightning.
I pay a huge amount for this server, so I'm just happy I'm getting a little bit more value out of it now.
Can someone ELI5 what PHP is or running out of php means on a server? Im fucking retarded if you havent noticed.
It's a joke on the version number. This version of vBulletin runs on PHP 5.2, while most hosts are currently running 5.4 or 5.5 at the minimum. Hence "running out of PHP"
I don't think it does - it's just that the old provider didn't want to allow people to be derpy enough to run outdated PHP.
I think the move broke avatars, I can't seem to upload anything even when it fits the requirements. Edit: oh shit, never mind.
pretty sure Epic is a better server and also empires server had so much other crap hosted on it. Also pretty sure moving to epic has been being discussed for some time. @Trickster Thank you for your ongoing support keeping empires going. It is much appreciated.
URLs dont work either for avatars. I tested filesmelt, imgur and drop box all produce the same error I used these two images They are both under 80 by 80 pixels and 19.5 KB. Signatures seem to work fine.
