There's nothing that can happen in the tutorial for squad stuff. Only thing we can do is maybe create a room and tell them about it, it's about it, and that's pretty pointless waste a ton of time listening to a person speak or reading words on a wall.

That'll have to be learned in a guide of some sort that we can link to.

A tutorial should help new players to get into the game, not make them perfect soldiers. Don't put too much stuff into the tutorial map, keep it simple and never overestimate the attention span of new players.

That's why i was questioning the whole squad stuff, that's way to much to explain. Basically the map will constantly move, the only spots that won't be moving is the firing range and even that has some sparkly crap to it to keep you entertained and the building showroom.

Get me on steam and i'll send you the latest version, right now we're at our limit with entities, during the main process of making this, it was asked of the devs to produce more entities so this map could properly be made. SO untill 2.25 is released, there isn't to much to be done.

Keef is handier than I at mapping in most (all) cases.

But if you have them, maybe set it up on dropbox so we can work on it :D

I'm starting work on it now. making some edits to have the map start in a more generic place than it does currently. have a couple ideas on how to get to the crossroads section that is in it at the moment, us it as a last stage of training. Make all destructables placed by entities in the map, and that way you can have a button restore the map to it's original state.

Getting very excited just thinking about all the ways this will be awesome.

*Edit* KEEEEEEFFFF, do you still have that SVN up? I can edit most of it to work, but I'll definitely need you to take a look at it to make sure the looks are up the snuff. Finishing up the first section of the engineer training, finishing the logic.

    K. I got some ideas for this map, should be simple enough. I'm finishing up the first engy section now. Will have a couple of things for devs to look at too before I'm done.

Drummer I saw the video on youtube over it and there are two problems, I guess??, but one the Basic engineering door is not open and you have to go to the shooting range first and complete that first. Then when you get to the armory you have to take down the light on the block doesn't turn on after I destroy it.

that's because that's the old version. The link drummer provided is a link from what blight had finished. The video I provided was after I fixed it so that the engineering section now works without problems. There is also a teleport point along the back wall to teleport the player to the top of the elevator, which I intend to turn into the entrance to a building, then make a mock up of the elevator inside this building so you teleport to the elevator once entering the door.
