this should have been suggested already ! have radios on empires map, that play voice clips and music from empires games. think GTA Vice City with chat radio :D beep out the obscenities but make it bloody obvious what is being said. we need more LORE - more posters, newspapers, tv/display screens with propaganda messages, just more fucking lore.
It would definitely be nice but really anything of this sort will have to be made by community members. If you guys make anything cool like this it will probably get added.
Does sound like a really cool idea...and you're right omen, we need more environmental crap everywhere. Too often it just feels like a random piece of land somewhere, instead of immersing you into another world.
would be nice if some of the voice actors currently making that tut thingy would also speak in some propaganda messages
I made my own custom sound file for the radars that is me talking to people that sound just like me. I am saying things like "alpha squad report in" and the reply is something like "alpha squad has set up the forward rax" or something. It sounds really cool when you hear it when inside the VF or armory but it has only 1 voice actor, so everyone sounds the same.
You know I extracted those files from the .pak files. If you really want them I'll upload them. And by the way I know a great voice actor who went to a Wisconsin state acting tournament and won a bronze medal. I don't think he'll mind this. no. i can do much better, so can most of the community. i am going to start thinking of scripts what to say, and maybe writing / drawing some lore.
Fuck me I did a pretty sweet thing and I attempt to do fade out on a block of white noise and it crashed audacity.
Don megel did the orignal clips.. I still use his TAKE COVARRRR.. but then some voice actor guy came in and did the current ones and I think the chick was found through some creative commons website.
I actually wanted to have a radio playing empires shit in emp_manticore, but there was no content to support it so I dont has.
Empires is freaking awesome? Did the current guy also do the "Stop fucking around" which I currently use for revive.
I think those are Megel's, but the voice actor guy might of re done them. If they sound different then the official voices then its Megel. My army will keeel you!
