Would anyone be interested in this sort of thing? Maybe with up to 10 people in a platoon or something
You mean you'd design a campaign setting and use an existing role-play system and use NF troops for a scenario...with you as the GM
I was thinking doing something more freeform, and I have little experience in GMing really, I was just wondering if it would be a good idea.
I'd be interested in this, sure! Only real concern I have is that the frontline (IE people pushing forward) shouldn't move too fast, so we have opportunities to get some actual roleplay and character interaction, especially, in.
If someone had the time and the will to do it, I guess they could use the matches from the first season of the League and write battle reports in a form of a small essay.
*necro* I'd really like to see this in action. I'm not sure if we're going with 'pick a real name and talk/act like a normal person" MelonBrew style roleplay, or just cutting out all the unrealistic stuff which you can't do in real life, but I want to try this either way.
I'm for it if it isnt completely super-serious, not just another boring war fiction with calculators and hair driers, and still has some of the elements of the game. I just feel that an RP of a game should still feel like the original game. Minus the micspammers and CV miners. Though someone could RP someone who sings into the radio...
theres a thread with this sort of thing already going, somewhere in this forum section, just forget where <_<
It is a sensual play that deals with alot of real word (both in empires and the real world) issues like the role of woman in the military. I was trying to show that the socially constructed norms against women in the military were so strong that even a lover would feel compelled to enforce them. But then I was censored instead ((((( Chauvinists! If you guys want to do this just add me on steamfriends. Could we get Dee to play the role of the girl? I have this feeling she would be perfect for the part. If we can't get her we need someone with experience wiggling.
Dubee if you want to play the lead and take your own interperative view of it that would be really interesting, I never even thought of that.
Hey yeah, why dont we ever see any female doods? Nazis used them on the front lines a-plenty plus one, and I'm sure the genetically-engineered Cuban dictator rebel thunderdomers they are fighting wouldnt pass up a fellow shooter-dood just cus he's a she. But then again, who plays this game? Back on subject... what were we talking about?
