well was on the planethalflife a few ago and notice not only did empires have a blurb about having 1.06 released but they had placed Empires at the mod of the week spot [ or what used to be mod of the week ]
BAM! Linked. It might be better if the person writing the article had actually put more than five minutes into the game, though.
I have yet to read an article about Empires linked from these forums that shows the person reviewing this game played it for more than five minutes, and it pisses me off. But when the bottom line is that any news that gets the word out is good news, so I'll let the fact that the reviewer is a lazy jackass slide and just pray this gets enough people playing that I can find a low ping server in the middle of the day.
I asked halflife2.net why they didn't post the news about 1.06 being released, and they said they were too busy at the time to put the news up. Once it was more than 24 hours in the past, it was old news and not worth putting up according to their guidelines. Halflife2.net is worthless I tell you.
Does that mean you and I go to the offices with automatic pistols cleverly concealed within the pockets of our trenchcouts, while wearing snazzy shades, and we forcefully press the barrells of our guns against the head man's temples insisting he post info about Empires? I sure hope so. Krenzo can cover us from the outside with a sniper.
Damn, it wouldn't be fun for you killing people you know..........................................Oh well, more fun for me and teh Krenz!!!
pfft.. i wouldn't trust krenzo to cover you with a sniper gun... He would just pull out his laptop and start coding some empires while you walk into the office!!
Ok, HL2.net posted some news about it, but they're pretty ticked off that you misunderstood their info. So they didn't write a 10-page newspost about it :p
They also told me they don't even have access to the news@halflife2.net e-mail account where you're supposed to submit news to. What kind of site do they run over there?
What?! Who the hell told you that? I actually sent the e-mail with my question to that address, and got an answer in a few hours. I think you either encountered a very uninformed news poster (The previous e-mail address didn't work, fixed now), or you plainly encountered a fraud.
As far as I know commander can't drop supplies in Empires... In NS yes, but not in Empires. I'm not sure if this guy played even 5 minutes...
