Maybe the community can start a "Custom Map"-Day on one server? All interesting maps, without usual "vanilla" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanilla_software ) maps... testing, discussion, attracting interested players, interaction, whatever... Post it on Steamgroups? We have so much members...
Find the popular steam groups and message their admins. Ask to be made an admin and then organize shit.
I approve. Custom maps need some love. Only things is that quite a few of them need a decent player count. It is hard to get people to join during a week too.
