Empires League 2017 Sign up and information thread

maybe if this works out and doesnt implode due to drama we can have a 2nd league later this year.

 

Hobbes can actually do that a bit too, but I only ever see it happen on slaughtered for some reason, also the only map I don't see him boom tank on. Still though things like shot callers aren't needed if squad leads can pick up the slack, but we actually don't really have these either. On that note jekotia doesn't really have squad leads either. At least ones that can keep an eye on everything else on the map. Seriously map awareness is the one thing almost no one has, and really the only thing you need to be competent lead of any sort.

Brenodia really does have all the players currently that you direly need in pug/scrim type settings, though to the surprise of no one they are also all the epic players.

It's early yet, so it's not like it can't be fixed. You all just really need to motivate more key players to play for jekotia instead of brenodia.

 

noone did put anyone in our team. i approached a core group of capable people and asked them if they wanted to co-lead and play, some others followed them.
i did that on my behalf, at this point i only read the announcement post like everyone else did.

i am deeply sorry i cared to put a team together to get this league started - i at no point knew if any of them would be on a team or not. i even promised to spike i wouldnt approach more people until northern figured out their command structure.

and honestly, yes i know we have pretty decent players, but its not like we have all of them. there are still plenty of capable - yet maybe unwilling - guys out there.

do some legwork.
do some teambuilding.
its not magic.
its just a bit of work.

btw captain does not mean you have to be commander. you are just the official voice of your team. at least thats how i see and will handle it for brenodi.

beacuse avatarix mentioned it to me over steam. please dont understand the above as offensive towards anyone - especially not those who kindly agree to lead the other team - its really is not meant like that. but without effort this is not going to turn out well.

 

League organiser having less stress than team leader? I chuckled.

Also, I'd like to second flasche's call to newer/unsure players - if you feel like you're not ready to play with the big names, shoot me a message and I'll help to get you sorted out. We'll get some Squadplay going regardless, so why not jump in and get some practice
