the standard steam icon looks rather boring and theres no icon file delivered with the mod. so i took the icon which you see under "My Games" in steam and converted it into an .ico file which you can use for your desktop link to empires. im not the creator of this icon, i just converted the file. credits goto empires devs.
I never thought I would need those icons, but now that I've found a use for them, all links to them on the forum are dead. Figures.
OOOOOOOO I shall attach one I made based off the NF one. Its a png in excess of 500x500 that's still a tad incomplete (need to rough up the triangle edges, they are too straight). Created a vector mask off of a 128x128 icon, then scaled it up as the framework for that.
Thanks :D I think I'm going to go back and re-do the filters a bit. It looks off. I'll post a full sized PNG and 128x128 .ico when I'm done (sometime next week).
I could make one once I'm done the NF one. It's really not that hard if you have photoshop. Just use the pen tool and create a vector mask to closely match it, then save the mask as a custom shape. Since it's vector based, you can scale from the tiny 128x128 the official icons are, up to any size your PC can handle (don't make it too big or you could crash your comp, lol).

I like that one. How about replacing the white lines in the red rectangle with an overlaid NF assault rifle? These are some cool 'commie' patches based on the Ak47: http://www.ak-47.us/AK-Patches.php . Replace them with a NF Rifle (and the funky alphabets) and they might do to.
