    20v20 game. average person dies 10 times. 200 tickets. that leaves 200 tickets left. thats 2000 when you times by ten. 2000 divided by 60 is 33 minutes.

    tickets are not a problem on glycen. they ARE a problem on your map, though

    Tickets are small on nuclear because it's a low pop map. We really shouldn't be voting it in when there's 30 players on the server.

    On glycen? Most people die probably within a minute after spawn on average.

    The game was pretty good the other day, but he's kinda right, I died like a spaz on glycen and I wasn't trying to be suicide friendly. Remember too, we didn't even get to the 2nd flags really, and we held the middle flag for about 5-10 minutes and bled about 50-100 tickets in that time.

    When we had to recap the enemy had a 100 ticket lead, then we recapped and about 7 mins later we had narrowed that to a 30 ticket lead. 5 minutes later we were well on our way to winning - 75 tickets to 50 or so. The numbers came down really fast, which was great and it was a good game, but we didn't really spread the battle past the centre much.

    I won't discuss the tickets on glycen because I'm now confused about those, but care to elaborate on nuclear?

    I believe glycencity is where I got my longest death streak, 6 in a row.

    Nf is fine but BE..
    By the time NF is able to get past the gates and things start getting interesting. BE is down to about 15 tickets. SO you end up with a very boring and slow start. Then as soon as it gets interesting it's over. Don't get me wrong I like your map. It's different.


    Tickets are crap. It's a horrible tool in Empires. But the alternative is maps that go on way too long. It would be nice if maybe we could tie in a trigger from the game timer. So at say 30 mins The mapper has an option of adding the tickets. That way you could have the run and gun fast game play. To start with then once it hit's 30 mins set both teams to a set number of tickets. That way Tickets are still doing their job ending maps but at the same time not killing the fun.

    Tickets arent crap in themselves, its the fact that there is no good system of changing their amount to fit the playercount and the fact that we have to cope with playing on a single server, as opposed to having several more specialised ones, that make them a pain in the ass at times.

    The only problem with ticket IMO is that it's always a constant, regardless of the player count.
    And the fact that tickets are really important on certain maps, while on other maps you can basically ignore them.

    Ticket is not killing fun in any way.
    If your teammates just don't revive/die a lot, then you probably deserve to lose.

    I tried to keep the tickets fair for a 6v6, with that playercount you can run out if you burn through them quickly only during the last 5-10 minutes. You won'trun out in a 3v3, and a 12v12~ will have BE scramble for tickets really soon.

    I can't help that without some code changes though.

    Not being able to spawn is fun ?

    From what iv'e seen it one of the top reasons severer population dies.
    But yeah constancy is a big issue. 30v30 and 5v5 should never have the same exact limits. That why I feel tickets as they are now suck.

    There should be a five minute timer on maps like District when tickets get to zero/zero. Watching a small number of players camping usually resulting in RTV's. Force them to rush each other.

    Regarding 2.6.4a - nice work Candles. Keep it up! It's tough to find the unbalances - which means we are close to balanced. There will always be something - but I like what you've done so far.

    There are plenty of good varied systems to use with tickets. We just need to have another good debate about it.
