We'll Shit I just kept using full installs and delete the folders in between testing. You mean I could have just renamed the folder?
I've been playing 2.1 for many hours today, without crashing once. Then someone said there was a hotfix to a problem i didn't know about. I decided not to download the hotfix untill i actually crash at least once. I'm afraid of breaking things that work. Also renaming the folders caused a lot of problems sometimes. I've had times that i couldn't play either one of the versions, untill i restarted steam 3 times in a row (always 3 for some reason). I have tested 2.1 a little, but my focus was on the new features. I tested the walls, tested the sounds to see of they were correct (and make sure they sounded good), however i didn't test the new 'out of tickets' system. Everything seemed to be fine, and neither i nor the server had crashed while i was ingame, so i decided i should get back to our clan forums, which has become much more timeconsuming since the release.
Server crashes (at least the [KM] one that I am playing on). Yesterday I played for about 5 hours and it crashed twice (one crash was durning loading a new map). [KM] crashed in 2.0 as often as it crashes now so I think it's not a new bug.
Since I have installed 2.11 my client had zero chrashes as well as the server I am playing on (Stormed.de) and I played about 7 hours.
It is hard for me to tell if the crashes are from the server or from my provider. One thing which I do experience quite a bit is that my DSL modem will stream after I disconnect from Steam. Once again I am not sure whether it is Steam or my provider or the modem..... Any one's guess...
