    I made my first map for Empires: emp_tms, it's a small map

    I used Ons_Torlan a bit as example but i mostly used some own ideas.
    I didn't compiled it with HDR!
    If u notice some bugs please post them here.
    And I still working on emp_mountainpass and this map will be better.

    Looks good, will give it a try. From the screenshots, though: find a new rock texture. That alone makes me want to win the map and go to a new one at this point (haven't played it yet, gameplay may save it).

    waaaaay to much of the same texture and that rock texture is also awful. i suggest adding some roads to refs and between bases to brighten up the overall color sheme a bit.
    will play it later and see how gameplay works out.

    ok my critique....

    Hard to see Torlan in this map, other than base placement and the little bridge you have in it. And thanks now i've got another idea to use for a good map.

    -EXTREMELY LOW SKYBOX!
    -There is a lot of overlaping materials making them flash like a freakin' strobe light
    -No need for the health boxes and ammo boxes at each res point
    -the BE comm gets stuck on a lot of things
    -NO MINIMAP, or at least not working on my server
    -Build the sides up like mountains and put player clips above them so people can't go around the map, look at cyclopean for more help on that
    -BASE DEFENSES!
    -Nice job on the bases, looks different

    Im actually work on roads.

    1. Not the skybox is low, the clipbox but i have to resize it
    2. in progress
    3. healthboxes and ammoboxes are somthing useful, i think i dont have to remove them
    4. where?
    5. copy failed? The minimap is working. Try to recopy it.
    6. ok

    1. Well when you go into comm view, which you can't on this map, you're in the skybox and can't do a thing
    4. just places where rocks are and quick changes in terrain
    5. recopied and still no work, i'll work on it today, looks like the files are there, the server just being stupid
    7. yes turrets in good places

    And how the ammo and health boxes actually work?

    Do they spawn when, for example, NF places a refinery at the refinery spot and then NF's ammo and health boxes are there?

    Or are both ammo and health boxes for both factions there all the time? If they are, that's really bad idea because then either team can very quickly destroy enemy's refinery by nade spamming next to an ammo box.

    Changes in the next release:
    - Base defense
    - bit differences betwen the Bases
    - ammoboxes and Healthboxes only appear on ref build and disappears when the enemy build its ref
    - higher hills on map edges
    - some other textures for rocks
    - ropes at climb places
    - removed a unused light in the map
    - added roads
    - a much higher skybox than before

    You could use bigger texture scale because those edges of the map, the bases and some other places have just way too tiny textures and it doesn't look that good but the layout is interesting.

    yes, maybe rescale the textures but it looks not so good if the gras looks like mutant monstergrass, I use for the terrain X: 0.50 Y: 0.50 and for the bases
    X: 0.25 Y: 0.25(standard size)
    But maybe the bases look better with X: 1.0 Y: 1.0

    I think the grass is ok but almost everything else isn't. :P At least the bases and the rock textures need bigger scale.

    Notice the pattern at the edges of the map? That texture needs fixing.

    and how to resize without getting huge grass?
