The Pass was originally a Total Annihilation map but i like to request it for Empires. The map itself has lots of resources on both sides with only one pass running down the middle (think resources and basic layout of emp_Money with the mountain passes of emp_Slaughtered ). Here is a minimap from TASpring of The Pass:
a little bit.... linear, no? at least money has the added spice of having two bridges between the bases and a middle area you can fit a rax in... this would be even worse than emp_valley (i don't mean mvalley).
Its like emp_money with one path, plus the valley of slaughter that is not exactly an area where you can manouver with tanks. It would be horrible. I will map something similar with alot of extra stuff if I have a mouse again.
Might be interesting if inf don't need the central pass to get to the other side, or there's air planes in, otherwise I see a stalemate until either BE get rail hvys, or one side runs out of tickets.
I will make a map with one pass, but with lots of levels and stuff. It will be a true mayama map, means the community loves or hates it, the usuall stuff
Give the man a cookie We already have a map like this called emp_glycenpass. Personally, I kind of like it, but most people hate it because it just degenerates into a massive rail heavy vs nuke heavy in the pass.
If there was a Karma system here Scardy would be well into the negatives by now, lol Can't say anything about the map till i see it in person, sounds like an idea if mayama does it, but based on the image, IT SUCKS
i useually try to use ramps accross the middle infantry only tank stopper area to get APCs behind enemy lines and stop it before that :p
If you love TA, why didn't you get a good map, or at least replace money with the gigantic all metal map with superhigh wind speed.
