    They compile using server farms, not single computers.BTW it takes a server farm of 32 computers 40 minutes to compile the lost coast and that has HDR.

    you have nodraw on the faces of displacements?
    if so, that wont work. you have to destroy the faces. with nodraw, they are still registered.

    He said he placed nodraw blocks in the displacements, and just because the displacement has nodraw on its face doesnt means you have to destroy the displacement.You obviously need to learn how to map.

    did i say destroy the displacement?
    i said destroy the FACE. that is, if it has a nodraw texture applied to it specifically.

    are they applied to the displacement or an entirely new brush?

    oh its a new brush , after that hell of a compile i realised that one of the brushes is outside of my maps bounding box , thats prob why it took so long ... but its done and that shouldnt affect performance ... this damn overhead map is killing me now ... wont line up for the life of me

    I know, it's a nightmare! How are people getting rid of the perspective? I can't seem to get high enough to get a flat enough shot.

    Use the FOV command to get rid of it. There's also a command to turn on the isometric camera.

    krenzo is that you hot racking ?
    ahh i forgot about that cam view thing oh well its done now... now the hard part comes... distributing :( im not sure if i just should zip this with the directorys or figure out this damn bspzip thing

    a/ yea i just did the minimap today, its all compiled and ready to download, just gota find a spot to host it.
    i did a lil' work with the minimap , i added a north sign to let players know which way is up :p and also a grid overlay letters and numbers this way when theres no tickets left you can play bingo ! j/k but it does help to know what grid people are telling you to goto

    Looks very intriguing. I looked at it a bit in a local server, but this map is obviously designed for many people to play.

    a/ your right i guess i should .. oh nm i can edit the forum post title
    cpu/ its intended for a medium+ server load it might look big but most of the map is used for looks

    im having problems with my minimap :( i get the checkerboard texture, as in missing texture and i cant select a spaun location)

    blizzerd/ did you unzip to your empires folder or your maps folder ? the text file in the zip explains more but unzip to your empires folder it will fix that.

    woody/ yea i tried but there file size limit says 5 megs ... this is 12 unless im doing it wrong ?!?
