    Do you have a clue about mapping?
    This map has horrible optimization and therefor, it needs optimization work.

    Back in the days when i made maps for quake maps just had to be "neat"

    i think that is what he meant cyber-kun, i could be wrong :)

    finish the map! work harder! *whips OMNI* it must be ready when 2.21 comes out.

    Omni himself has said it needs to be optimized. He turned all the hint brushes into player clips(and I'm not sure if he knows this) so now you are rendering most of the map all the time. If you knew a thing about mapping, you would realize that this is bad optimization.

    Personally, it seems that this map never gets played seriously... there is a big mob rush for the center flag (which needs to require only 2 or 3 to capture... 4 means players sit there waiting for teammates to come). This will probably go away after the novelty of the flag wears off... the main things that I see:
    1) center area has bad FPS (I know it's been said before... use cheaper water maybe? more nodraw? also, I think putting blocks of func_detail under displacements that sort of approximate the displacement's shape improves performance))

    2) The lighting is dark and generally unappealing (I like bright maps). It would be fine with it's current rusty late-day look, but something needs to be fixed with HDR or something.

    I've done some thinking and... the building in the lake really isn't necisarry. inorder to shift the ballence of the map to make it accesible(w/out adding a tunnel) would be to difficult.

    The "center" platform seems to create an advantage for NF, I'd suggest moving it more south, though you'd have to mess with the terrain to do this.

    Thus making it not worth the effort. Lets inhance the current mechanicks of the map, not try and re create it.

    just ditch the bridge for now, move the platform to where the bridge IS.


    then re-work the buildable bridge to occur ABOVE the platfrom (rework platform) and allow some dynamic play in that area which will include vehicles.

    NOW THAT would be cool AND balanced as it was before.

    There are a few pits in the South-East by the drop ship that you can get stuck in and not get out of. They are on the east side of the drop ship platform.
    Also could you reduce the number of people it requires to capture a non middle flag to 1.

    I turned the hint brushes into player clips, not func_precipitation

    Sun angle will be raised in next version, so more sunshine!!! yay

    I was drunk when I mapped this, but that is known
