Emp_Shadows - The Final Run After a year of nothing, shadows has been released to near perfection. emp_shadows Proper lighting! New side passages to fix areas being massive chokepoint hells. NF can attack out of the middle of the map now! All in all, it is fun. Also, Stu's images of this map is very old. Very very old.
Maybe the town was really old and use to belong to the BE but soon it was abandoned and then the war came, then it was never used again. Don't ask me HOW it was abandoned just use your "imagination". Anyways, Cool map but the flag on screenie 3 on Stu's post should maybe be against the wall? Because it is against a wall on a pole and if the wind is blowing how would the flag be pointing in that direction? Good luck with with it.
Like tyson already said, it's pretty much a crumbling ghost town. And you're right about that flag, it'll be changed.
oh no the dump map from that random cyber guy is available for everyone, now no one is secure from the boredom... nah its fun :D
This map is beautiful, it got a wonderful architecture and the night theme create a nice ambient. The last version I played was RC3 since then it greatly improved in detail. One to especially note is the hall right outside the BE Main base. Once an bleak and empty hall, now it like is a warehouse like, with boxes and catwalks aflame in a spooky light. In the next Release Candidate I would like to see that long stark Highway Tunnels in the western part of the map are improved. Doesn't need to turn the part of the map into a eye candy but advertising panels, hazy lightning, broken water pipes, bullet-holes, explosion damage, something like that.
I love this map.. Medium Reflective tank with coolant and Salvo missiles + He cannon.. Makes ANY day worth to live.
New? Wait, wait a minute. I know I've played this map before, I remember that church, I'm sure of it. When did you first map this thing out (Rc1?), in what version? 1.04? 1.06? Also those dumpsters! And, like, you could kill BE's buildings cause they were in the middle of the level and then it became escort but without the advantage of the defensive positions! Well, it's either the aforementioned explanation, or that's Deja Vu, this is the matrix, and there's an agent outside my room.
This map looks awesome, there is an error/message spammed in the console? "Too many vertex format changes in frame, whole world not rendered" When I was on this map Empires used 600-650MB of Physical RAM and about 600MB of virtual memory? Maybe because of the error?
My first thought about this map was: "Wow, this looks cool". Unfortunately I don't like the gameplay.
I am working on RC8. Who has any suggestions? This is what will be added for RC8 though. Ways out of each base so you can escape if your base is boxed in. Closet flags to each base only needs one person to capture on the team the flag is closest too. Fixed the church spawn point. Fixed the horrible NW Hotel cap point. Increase the tickets and bleeding to make territory control more important. A lot more trigger_hurts, playerclips.
