thats quite childish of you lemons, you can do better then that...
lol the DRAMZA11
But..but..but keef is being mean.
in life, you sometimes have to put yourself above insults or mean remarks others make, as to keep the sanity of an adult conversation
You can drive through the lamp-posts.
I think thats intentional.
if you couldnt the silly lamp posts would severly limit building and driving room.
Sorry that I didn't read through this whole thread. I just wanted to say:
I like your map.
In case it hasn't been mentioned, comms can place buildings on top of your bsp buildings right now.
Can you check my post in the mappack thread? You can still get up on top and everything, it makes it really hard to cycle in a server due to the exploiting. Can't you add either:
a) A giant clip brush
b) Ladders and make the top usable without exploiting, so we can have awesome vertical combat and shit.
Another issue is that the (rather awesome) destructible walls and shit can be broken by melee. Dunno if thats intentional or not.
Otherwise, very, very good stuff flounder.
There is a giant clip brush that prevents anyone getting higher than 4 stories up. I'll double check the map and make sure it's still in place.
I think getting on the roofs in general is annoying to everyone aside from the guy on the roof. I think allowing people to get inside high rises and shoot out the windows is good enough for verticle combat at the moment.
Unfortunately, melee is also the most effective way to destroy the walls... That's the Source engine - all destructive environments in HL2 were supposed to be destroyed using the crowbar. It wasn't designed with tank combat in mind, and I don't know enough about the engine to change it in Hammer.
If anyone knows a work around, post it!
Minimum Damage, or something that had to do with damage types...
Beta 9 released.
First off, I like this map. Its a small map, but thats a good thing. Its actually possible to have good games with a fairly low player count. I like the phys cars too, although of course they are buggy.
1) Does the middle flag do anything? If not it should give either a spawn or res or something. I see lots of tactical squad combat going on in that building, yet I cant help but get the feeling that its just a noob trap.
2) The southeast and southwest are small. I sortof feel like I should be able to fit my radar and VF down there, in addition to a rax and an armory.
Hmmm, maybe I should change the name of the middle cap point, something like "Resupply Station." All it does is enable your team to use the hp and ammo crates. You're right, most people think it does more than that.
And I can expand the double res points. They are more cramped than they should be.
Thanks for the suggestions, they're definitely some of the more constructive ones I've received.
Separate names with a comma.
