    Havoc is a smaller map, about 1/4 the size of duststorm, with 15 flags acting as spawn points. The flags are linear capture and capturing the last one ends the round. I designed this map to have lots of varied height terrain, I wanted there to be plenty of infantry cover that wasn't just a bunch of props placed around the map. One of the keystone ideas around this map is to have a controlled level and amount of vehicles on the map, this is to allow no restriction on any Engineer abilities and add some standard gameplay to the map. The idea being if turret or wall farms start building up on the map you have tanks or arty you can coordinate with to get them taken down. The vehicles also allow the map to scale better with a low server base, if you have a 1v1 or 3v3 or so you can have tank battles through the map prolonging combat time for players and keeping it entertaining. But with limited vehicles the map scales to infantry combat easily with a larger player base, this will put the vehicles into a support role for the infantry.

    The flag spacing is such that opposing team spawn locations are about equivalent to district distances, without being a confined tunnel. This should lead to more people dieing without generating into a revive pile, the game shouldn't get stuck in a stalemate with it's level of openness and lack of a single fixed chokepoint. If an enemy bunkers up on a flag you can just rain arty down on it until they are all dead. I just view this gameplay as an intense commander game with lots of cover, you have tanks and APCs and lots of close spawn points.     thank you for making a map like this, i wanted to do something like this for awhile but im not talented enough.
    had the chance to play it the other day but damn pubbers wouldnt vote it

    both times I played it I had hella fun, some peeps were saying I should take out the vehicles but I disagree, I think they add a unconstant dynamic(60 sec respawn) to the map in the fact that the vehicles can break a strong position without being steamrollingly overpowered since they are low qty and specific loadouts.

    it's not 3phase, it is coolant. Me and Trickster just confirmed it in game.

    I don't know what you guys saw, but I was doing flips..
    I am not sure you can do flips in a arty tank with coolant.
    Kept crashing and getting stuck in things, and I had horse power to push other people.

    3 phase doesn't have horse power. that would be gas turbine or fission :P

    Very good looking Keef !

    Size seems right

    Also very good that you added the height variation; we've never had a map like this and especially on smaller maps with lots of trees terrain cover is very important

    This is the first custom map in years i really like to try out

    needs mini fort at 3rd or 4th flag for each side and one for the North flag too.

    Ya I've had a blast every time I played the map, I felt like most everyone else was enjoying themselves as well.

    Bout time we got some maps utilising vehicle spawners for non gimmick stuff.
    Hopefully I get to play this.

    Great map. But those level 3 mg's hiding in trees... they really rumble my johnnies. As a result I end up playing scunt most of the time. Maybe restrict turret upgrades on the next version? Besides that, no complaints.

    if turret upgrade gets restricted on more and more maps wouldnt that be a good indicator that lvl3mgs have a way to big range and/or too high dps?
    what do i want to say with this? could someone please finally take on turret balance?

    Level 3 turrets are tolerable on commander maps. However, they can get really annoying on small flag maps, especially when there is tons of foliage to conceal them in.

    I remember once we were talkin about just making them less accurate at range, just a bit of spread would work... still can't stand there and get ripped up, but it would be less consistent and brutal damage.

    That was a while ago though, what happened w that Trickster?
