    so I just made this quick map, it has no minimap or resources so your gonna just have to just pull one from another map, and there is no lighting its only the bsp because I want to know if I should continue on this without waiting half hour on vis calculations. There is also no 3d skybox for the above reason. Give me your criticism.

    heres the description:
    -extremely simple layout.
    -Northern Faction and Brenodi empire both have bases that are pretty symmetrical and have 6 vehicle factories, 3 barracks, 3 armories, 3 refineries, 3 radars, and 3 repair stations.
    - there are walls separating a no-mans land between the Brenodi/Northern Faction base.
    -The walls cover the majority of the buildings but allow tanks/infantry to enter/exit.
    -In the no-mans land there are 6 flags , with a kind of sandbagesque wall on each.
    -3 flags are on the outside of the Northern Faction walls and 3 on the Brenodi walls.
    -The flags produce resources.
    -at the middle flags watchtowers can be built (not tested but it should work).
    -The watchtowers can only be destroyed with grenadiers.
    -low skybox so that artillery can't extended range the other base from home base.
    -the commanders are behind an l-wall at middle sections of the bases.

    things I will add if people want it finished:
    -3d skybox.
    -spawns at the flags.
    -have things unresearchable(primarily extended range).
    -man holes and tank traps in the no mans land.
    -more buildable things.
    -not flat geometry in no mans land.
    -a possible refinery in centre that gives a lot of resource(extremely vulnerable).
    -An action that if the opposing force captures all of the flags closer to the defender side, either the defenders walls will disappear until one of the flags are captured or the attacker's tickets will start to bleed.(for this you are going to have to tell me if i should do this)

    lol looks like money without the water and bridges. This is gana be arty heaven.

    it has a low skybox so arty can only hit the no-mans land.

    ranged will still make it across, As is, i don't see any future you can possibly make. But then again i've been surprised, this is extreme pre-alpha

    I tested myself doing ranged and it dissapears into skybox. And yes this is extreme pre-alpha if I have time I can probably make it look like awesome.

    heh I was just showing a quick layout preview to find out if I should finish it without waiting 10 minutes of vvis.

    func_viscluster should help a bit with vvis ...

    then it might not need longer to compile then to build the map :p

    Not that I want to discourage you, but I think it's somewhat silly of you to post it here in this state. This is very little mapping work, probably took you less than 30 mins. You should have developed it a lot more before posting here. Right now, we can't really tell much about it except that you've used an artificial block for arty (which is bad).

    The map looks like flatgrass with a buncha buildings slapped onto it :V
