I have a map with emp_eng_map_model entities and emp_eng_map_brush entities. At the start of the game, when I seismic the emp_eng_map_brush entities, they take damage and can be destroyed. However, if I seismic the emp_eng_map_model entities, they take no damage at all. The entities have identical settings.

    Here is the map: http://filesmelt.com/dl/emp_bridges.zip

Spawn as NF and walk/drive up to the two trees near the bridge. Seismic the bridge and you will see it take damage. Seismic the trees and there is no damage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Melee doesn't seem to be causing any damage to the bridge or the trees.

Odd. I know there's a weird issue, on Plunge for example, where the bridge items take very very low damage, yet you can melee them down in a matter of seconds.

make an emp_eng_map_brush with a nodraw texture and give it a name
then put it at the trunks of your emp_eng_map_model trees

make it so when any of eng_brushes or eng_models are built or destroyed, the other will be built or destroyed as well

Harryhoot can't make maps that look even slightly presentable, but he's a fucking entity wizard.

Did a test on a new map in Empires SVN and it looks like both entities take damage. Why this wasn't working before I have no idea.

I remember having fixed some damage related bug in those files, but that patch should have been in steampires too.

Sort of inclined to agree actually, I was making complex entitiy systems in my first ever map, they're just logic puzzles, they either work or don't.

Aesthetics are harder, as is gameplay.

If I had to do that I would probably be using more entities than the game can actually run at once.

What practical purpose in a Source map would require a 12-page schematic?
Besides which, that would have nothing to do with the difficulty of entities themselves, just your ambitions!

Empty there are only two things you and I agree on: Conservative Republicans and the fact that entities are piss easy.
