This map was great fun the few times I played it. Is there any chance we can get a 2.23 compile of it?!
emp_encore_ob2 is on VIPER, I do not recall why I took it off the voting files. I can put it back on and we can find out Now was that so difficult
That is fantastic, now if only someone could finish all the little things that I never got around to, and release a final version of it.
what's so funny commy? *edit* no i don't. But that is hardly a comprehensive list of things that he feels needs to be done to the map to finish it. ^_^
I tried working on this LONG AGO and got yelled at for doing so, nubs. But the file that scardy uploaded has all the models and textures in it and works just fine, now this may be an issue with the steam release, you'll need some people that's never played this map to download it and try it out for themselves. Tried it myself from that download link that was posted and worked just fine for me and i have a fresh install of the steam release. Things that this map needs is: Trees replaced with the orex (better looking ones) grass sprites bushes, just overall enviroment stuff more junk around the "city" area more cover, large rocks? small wall emplacements possibly remove the models there but leave the custom textures, they actually look good and maybe replace the fortress models with some kinda concrete (world geometry) like in cdr_canyon, not as big but the elevated surface for better positions for defenders. replace the textures in the bunker area and some better spawn protection for the defenders on the last map so people can't grenade spam up into it, but also not let them camp up there. Not talking about about the catwalks but the initial spawn area. Otherwise the map is pretty well balanced, imo
Most of these issues were in before the Steam release. Either way, no matter how broken a map is, you still have no right to work on a map without the original mapper's permission, and that will never change around here. Even all the maps Scardybob has recompiled without any changes, had the original mapper's permission, hence badlands was removed.
