You realise nobody will play this until 1.08 is out :D It does look very good from those screenshots though. The skybox is a little uninspired.
There's a dedicated server up now, which has this on. Feel free to join and test it out. It may get a bit laggy, I'm on a bad connection.
that's really cool, really really official too. from the screenshots, all i can suggest is that for the fourth screenshots, edges be given to the doorframes, and also that some angularity be added to the room to break up the regularity, otherwise it looks a bit artificial. also, actual light fittings instead of just bright spots on the celing. just for fun, it would be cool if that outpost started alive but could be destroyed, and can be rebuilt (like the buildings in slaughtered) also, adding some model rocks to that outdoor bit would be awesome. finally, not that it's entirely neccessary, but central heating ventilation boxes, satalites and ariels coming out of the buildings would look really cool. :D
This map is kind of escort with NF attacking. What could be changed: 1. NF don't lose tickets except after spawning (they 3k so you probably wanted 1 ticket to disappear each second) 2. Map is open and artillery is available. You can reach 90% of the map area with artillery (maybe even from the 1st flag).
i'm opening this back up and making everything default materials, doestn' look any differenet, taking out the extra models that do no good to the map (less downloading) and fixing the map overall. adding a few things to help defend with
WOOOOOOOAH Hoss. This map is still in development by yours truly. I haven't had much time to complete it lately but I do intend to finish version 4. Which includes fixes and additions. Side question, how did you get the .vmf?

You think decompiling a map will give you the original source file? There is so much that decompilers won't properly reconstruct, and in general, rereleasing decompiled and recompiled maps is not accepted by other level designers, especially those who made the map.
i know this, which is why i spent a week redoing just about everything. and i hope pickjaoe will accept my apology
Decompiling should only be done to see how maps are done, not to copy them and rerelease them yourself. Ask the original creator for the vmf, if he does not give it, don't try to undermine him and use decompilers to release his map.
I liked the part where you asked Pickajoe... Oh wait... Well your a looser. Mappers VMF is a very important thing to them. On the point of this map, it may be true Pickajoe hasn't updated it in a while. However Pickajoe isn't lurking much at all, at least in JPL. You could of just asked him, but he would of said no.
is there a new version of this map avaible ?? (not the "map-Griefer-Edition) i mean the Pickajoe-Edition! :D
Don't put the current version up, you'll get about 10 fps no matter what your system is like in some areas along with holes in the map and weird points. Pick is working on it, he's just REALLY busy irl
cyber has said picka has no time to map this anymore and he's possibly going to fix the textures. i'll leave it in his hands unless we here otherwise from the actual mapper. It's be nice to simply get the purple checkerboards to be gone. Everything else can be tweaked right with a cfg file. EDIT: k this is getting frustrating but i've been working on this to get the res file setup right. i'm confounded as to why some items are not downloading off the server. Everything is double-checked for locations. It makes no sense, they are on the redirect in the same folder. Other files that don't download are some models/models/* stuff that also makes no sense to me. downloading off a server seems to have no trouble creating local folders on one's pc, so i just dont get it. Is there a limit as to how many files u can get on one connect to a server? or a special order the files listed in the res file need to be in? please help me, i'm trying to get his map functional and i'm tired of trying without any luck. bear in mind that if people download it from this thread and install it, it works perfectly fine. go figure. so to me, it MUST be the res file..
I tried using this map in empires 2.2. It worked but has a lot of texture errors especially at the walls of houses. Can someone tell me weather this errors will be fixed?
