No, this was build from scratch emp_flat was a quick test where i didn't put a lot of effort into the displacements I did plan on redoing it in detail, but because of the need of small commander maps and the possibility of never actually starting on the old map again, i decided to use cliffs in this map as well. Also ... emp_flat had higher cliffs In a map this size though, that height would've annoyed all commanders to death: they'd had to go underneath the top cliffs with their camera all the time
I was going to stick this on the Epic server to check it for you, seems like the box has died though Will try to do it tomorrow if the servers free (If I dont reply again pester me on steam, memory is terribad) Edit: Wait, just remembered I have no idea how the fast download is set up on epic :/
I missed last weeks and yesterdays episode of top gear, so i must do certain things to get a certain combination of bits from the internet onto my pc to watch two hours of entertainment as well (anti anti-piracy mode enabled)
btw if anyone ever plays this map on a real server with some people, and i'm online, do tell me I have most of you in my friendslist so that shouldn't be a problem
A shit, just have read that. Played it today, was the best overall map that I can remember GFX: 10, Layout: 10, Gameplay: 9, individual lulz factor: high. So that's a 29 green on the w00kie scale! Do more of those awesome pieces of art. You should get payed for that.

When first running around in the map, before the typical empires chaos started, did the cliffs+subtle sound give you a "real" canyon feeling? definitely, though i cant remember sound Also, how many people were playing? 0-10,10-20,20-30 ? 10-20 Was the amount of resource income more or less correct ? our comm researched -> lvl2, lvl3, gas turbine, meds, bioml, heavies - then i ragequitted bc we still didnt get armor also, from the minimap image it looks like the map leans quite a bit to NF, but i asume you somehow measured the distance from start-rax to the refs and its only bc of the overhanging cliffs.
Joined to have a look at it, 20-30 people playing. Looks awesome. Joined a team, found I couldn't turret/wall climb the cliffs. 0/10 Silk.
The soundscape defenitely hit the spot. Made me stop, remove my headphones and go "what is that?" before it hit me. :D Had a crash that I had to hard reset, but I doubt it was map related.
