I have 1 problem i forgot about though. To make it easier for commanders to see anything, the top layer of cliffs is not solid. Arty however can probably shoot through it now. I'll check that out once i'm back from work. If they can ... i don't know how to fix that without blocking the comm view Edit: No problem, somehow even with the cliff not being solid, the arty still hits it. Oh how rare it is for something to just do what it should do
speaking of which, I hope its not feasible to arty from one base to the other. maps like that suck(bootybay, money(although I like this map I hate when arty gets used), ect)
With the long range artillery, i'm almost certain that you can. Although with that gun, you can hit the opponents main base in almost every map, no matter the size Nothing i can do about that, in small maps arty simply easily does this.
as annoying as it is... for small maps I would recommend low roof. If it looks like people start using arty often.
It would be a quick fix if it turned out to be a problem I'm gonna leave it for now though. My new pc arrived yesterday and i'll be installing it today, plus i'm selling my old pc to my parents so i'll have to install that one as well
I agree with shooting up to hit things but, the arty is the plague of small maps. First to get will often win(if they can defend the competent arty). Still wishing for that code support to disable research availability for certain vehicles in maps.
That's a shitty hackjob solution. I don't think this map will have much of a problem with arty. The cliffs are high and they also have a pretty substantial overhang. It won't be nearly as bad as Crossroads/Slaughtered/Canyon.
I could hit the main bases from the east and west area, i never tried hitting it from the other mainbase. Also there's a good chance it won't work with HE arty, and long range arty is not that powerfull. But we'll see, i have bigger problems to deal with. Just like 2 years ago when i bought my new monitor, now that i've installed a new pc the colors on my monitor differ a lot from the previous setup. I didn't notice it untill i opened a screenshot of this map, which now is incredibly saturated yellow. So once again i have to calibrate this thing, OR change the color of the textures/lighting
